The Oklahoma State Cowgirls have been as impressive as any other team in the last few decades, with more than 10 World Series berths to their name. The Cowgirls have seen major success under head coach Kenny Gajewski, who enters his 10th season this year, five of which led to consecutive World Series appearances.

The Cowgirls have been a powerhouse in the regular season, slated to win the Big 12 in 2025, but have struggled in the World Series. They have yet to win a World Series championship.

As Oklahoma State Softball looks to finally claim a championship in the WCWS in 2025, it must first face a gauntlet of four games in the 2025 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge.

The 2025 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge hits the fields on Feb. 6-15 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with Oklahoma State Softball beginning play on Thursday, Feb. 6.

The Cowgirls missed the 2024 Puerto Vallarta Challenge, rather playing in the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational. There, they recorded their first two losses of the season to Georgia and LSU.
