The Florida State Seminoles have a long history of success as a softball team. They have recorded a berth to the NCAA Tournament in every season since 2000, save for the cancelled 2020 season, and have 19 Conference Tournament championships to their name.

Even though the Seminoles went 46-16 in 2024, their season was ended in a loss to eventual World Series champion Oklahoma in the Super Regionals.

As Florida State Softball looks for redemption as the season resets in 2025, it will face its first five games in the 2025 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge.

The 2025 Puerto Vallarta College Challenge hits the fields on Feb. 6-15 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with Florida State Softball beginning play on Thursday, Feb. 6.

The Seminoles played in the JoAnne Graf Classic and the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational in 2024, missing the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge. In their eight games played between the two series, Florida State Softball won five.
