While the Ohio State football team prepares for the National Championship on January 20, the Ohio State Dance Team and Cheer Team have their eyes set on their own trophies.
From January 17-19, they will compete for a national title at the 2025 UCA/UDA College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championship at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.
Known for their elite program and collection of titles, the Buckeyes dance and chear teams will compete across four categories: Game Day, Jazz, Mascot, and Pom. OSU enters the competition as the reigning Division IA Jazz champions and last year’s runner-up in Pom, making them strong contenders for more gold.
Ohio State will have the rare opportunity to potentially win one or multiple titles at UCA/UDA Nationals before the Cheerleading team heads to perform at the historic football game, capping off what could be a banner week for the school.
