NHL Central Scouting released its 2025 Mid-Term rankings Tuesday morning and several prospects made the cut that you can watch right here on FloHockey.

More than 50 current USHL players made the list, which you can read about here. However, several familiar names from the BCHL and CJHL member leagues also earned spots, including one prospect that Central Scouting identified as a potential first-round pick -- Haoxi "Simon" Wang of the OJHL's King Rebellion, who has turned a lot of scouts' heads this year.

Each of the BCHL players who made the list will be playing in the BCHL Top Prospects game slated for Friday night at 10:30 p.m. ET. The game can be watched on FloHockey.

Let's take a look at some notable prospects from FloHockey partner leagues in Canada.

*All rankings among North American skaters unless otherwise noted.

Simon Wang, D, 23rd (King Rebellion, OJHL)

The 6-foot-6, 212-pound defenseman has garnered plenty of attention this season and emerged as one of the draft’s top prospects on the blue line. Wang has four goals and 22 points through 38 games with King Rebellion, along with 73 penalty minutes, and his size will appeal teams alone.

"This is a prospect who is just scratching the surface of what he can be," said FloHockey draft analyst Chris Peters. "He's got the size and there's some real skill to go with that. Players that have that combination are harder to find. There's still a lot of work to be done in terms of getting him physically stronger and refining some of his reads and decision making, but you can see the tools, which is exciting."

Wang, who hails from Beijing, China, is a Boston University commit and has also signed an agreement with the OHL’s Oshawa Generals. He’s played five games with Oshawa and will spend the remainder of the season with the Generals. Wang doesn’t turn 18 until late July.

Jeremy Loranger, F, 149th (Sherwood Park, BCHL)

Loranger currently leads the BCHL with 59 points as the right-shot forward has scored 22 goals and added 37 assists over his first 34 games. Loranger is listed at 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds, and recently committed to Omaha. It’s his first season in the BCHL yet he’s already leading the way offensively.

Kale Dach, F, 154th (Sherwood Park, BCHL)

Dach is right behind Loranger as the Penn State commit has 52 points through 34 games for the Crusaders. Dach has scored 11 times and has 41 assists, which leads the BCHL. Listed at 5-foot-10 and 165 pounds, this is Dach’s second BCHL season. He’ll turn 18 next month.

Poul Andersen, F, 157th (Sherwood Park, BCHL)

Rounding out the Sherwood Park trio is Andersen, who ranks second on the roster in goals (20) and third in points (37). He’s one of just six BCHL skaters with 20 or more goals this season and his 10 power-play goals are tied for the league lead. Andersen is a St. Louis Park, Minn. native and is committed to Maine. The right-shot forward is listed at 6-foot-1 and 181 pounds.

Jonathan Kapageridis, D, 178th (Cobourg, OJHL)

Kapageridis has seven goals and 24 points through 23 games for the Cougars and has also played a game with the OHL’s North Bay Battalion this season. The Vermont commit turns 18 in May and comes in at 6-foot and 176 pounds.

Max Heise, F, 200th (Penticton, BCHL)

Heise skated in 49 games with the Vees last season, scoring six times and adding 13 assists. However, he’s elevated his game offensively this winter and already has 16 goals and 23 points through 31 games. The right-shot forward can play both center and wing, and is a Michigan State commit.

Shaan Kingwell, F, 219th (Navan, CCHL)

Kingwell has 39 points (18-21-39) through 26 games this season, which is his second in the CCHL. He put up 22-16-38 over 52 games with Navan last winter but has returned and taken a step in year two, and he’s also played four OHL games with the Ottawa 67’s. Kingwell is 5-foot-11, 168 pounds and is currently uncommitted.

Trenten Bennett, 9th (Kemptville, CCHL)

Bennett has moved on to the Owen Sound Attack in the OHL, but built the foundation of his rising draft stock with Kemptville. His size is among the qualities that makes him particularly coveted, coming in at 6-foot-6 with some athleticism. He had a .903 save percentage in the CCHL this year and currently has a .931 mark early on with Owen Sound. Bennett is also an alumnus of the GOJHL.

Noah Tegelaar, 14th (Collingwood, OJHL)

Over the last two seasons, Tegelaar has put up impossibly high numbers. He's up to a .941 save percentage with Collingwood this season after posting a .928 mark with Blind River in the NOJHL last season. Tegelaar is 6-foot-4 and a late 2006 birthdate. He'll be an intriguing player to watch, especially if he keeps up his dominance between the pipes.

Michael Newlove, 27th (Burlington, OJHL)

Newlove has bounced between the OJHL and OHL this season with the Windsor Spitfires. Now with the Burlington Cougars, he has appeared in just one game. Prior to that, he was putting up impressive numbers with Georgetown in the OJHL. He had a .928 mark in 29 games including three shutouts.
