In another competitive season of Division II women's basketball, many skilled teams have displayed great skill and proven they can potentially win it all.

However, as we are in the middle of the season, it may be very difficult to determine who the best team is and will be come March.

Here is everything to know about the latest rankings.

Grand Valley State Has Rolled Through Opponents

  • Over the last two years, Grand Valley State women's basketball has won the GLIAC conference and has finished 31-3 to finish the season in the previous three.
  • It has been much the same this year.
  • The team has defeated all of its division and conference opponents thus far, with the only loss coming against Division I No. 9 Ohio State in December.
  • One thing that has eluded the Lakers is a national championship, and this could be the perfect season to get the job done.

Other Teams Potentially On The Way To The Top?

  • Although Grand Valley State has dominated teams all season long, other teams still feel they may be the best team in the division.
  • Of course, the defending champions, Minnesota State, would have something to say about that, even though no team has ever repeated it.
  • Pittsburg State is also a team that can make some noise in the postseason. They have been relatively consistent for a good part of the year and are just outside the top ten this week.
