The midway point of the regular season has come for Division II men's basketball and intensity is ramping up for between top teams and what better way for them to reflect then in the rankings.

Here is what to know about this week's rankings.

Washburn Is The New Best Team On The Block

• Now with Nova Southeastern suffering its first loss of the season, that left room for Washburn to become the new No. 1 team in the division, earning 14 first place votes as they are now 15-0.
• Ferris State men's basketball is following them closely as they enter this week's raking at No. 4 with major wins over Grand Valley State and Davenport, moving to 16-1.

Teams Taking Major Drops In Top 25

• Minot State has fallen out of the top five after losing to newly ranked, Southwest Minnesota State in a close three point game on the road.
• Dallas Baptist also lost it place in the rankings as they would drop out of the top ten thanks to a five point overtime loss to St. Mary's on Jan. 9.
