The University of Alabama cheer program is yet another top-tier college that's heading to Orlando for the 2025 UCA College Nationals. They have a storied history of success at the competition, most recently taking home two second-place finishes in 2024.

With the 2025 UCA/UDA College Nationals right around the corner, here are a few things you should know about the Alabama cheer team going into the weekend.

The UCA College Nationals and the UDA College Nationals features the best teams in the nation competing for championships and what better place to do it than “the most magical place on Earth.”

The event will take place Jan. 17-19 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.

For more than 35 years, the UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship has been the culmination of the season for cheerleaders and dancers across the country.

1. How To Watch UCA/UDA College Nationals 2025

The entire event is streaming on Varsity TV and on the FloSports app beginning Jan. 17. Event replays, highlights and breaking news will be available on both platforms. 

The rebroadcast will stream on Varsity TV on a delay of 24 hours.

2. When Does Alabama Cheer Compete at UCA College Nationals

Here’s when the Alabama Cheer team will compete at UCA College Nationals 2025:

• Alabama Cheer will compete in the DIA Cheer semifinals on Jan. 18 at 9 a.m. (AdventHealth Arena – South).
• Alabama Cheer will compete in the DIA All Girl Cheer semifinals on Jan. 18 at 12:06 p.m. (AdventHealth Arena – South).
• Alabama mascot Big AL will compete in the Division IA Mascot competition on Jan. 18 at 4:45 p.m. (AdventHealth Arena – South).

3. Alabama Cheer Results At UCA College Nationals

Here's how Alabama Cheer has placed since 2018 at the UCA College Nationals.

Division IA

• 2024: 2nd place, 96.8
• 2023: 6th place, 88.8
• 2022: 2nd place, 93.1
• 2020: 2nd place
• 2019: 3rd place
• 2018: 4th place

All Girl Division IA

• 2024: 2nd place, 89.3
• 2023: 3rd place, 87.3
• 2022: 1st place, 91.7
• 2020: 1st place
• 2019: 6th place
• 2018: 2nd place
