National Champion Caitlyn Davis Transfers To William Penn
NAIA champion Caitlyn Davis is transferring to William Penn this semester.
William Penn head coach Jake Kadel is seriously pushing for the 2025 NAIA Championships on March 14-15 in Wichita, Kansas.
The latest acquisition is a step in the right direction. Caitlyn Davis will join the team in Oskaloosa, Iowa, for the upcoming semester, presumably at 160 pounds. Davis won the 2024 NAIA Championships at 155 pounds for Southern Oregon after finishing fourth in 2023. She also made the 2024 U20 World team at 68 kg.
The Statesmen's women's wrestling Instagram account posted a graphic of Davis with the words, "I'M BACK."
Davis outscored five opponents by a 38-3 count at the 2024 NAIA Championships, including a 4-2 win over Life's Latifah McBryde in the finals. McBryde is currently ranked first at 160 pounds.
