Stormers Star Feinberg-Mngomezulu Faces Latest Injury Setback
Stormers' Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu faces another setback with a hip pointer, sidelining the Springboks star weeks after his return from knee surgery.
Springboks fly-half Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu is facing another stint on the sidelines after sustaining a hip pointer injury during the Stormers’ 29-10 United Rugby Championship win over the Lions on Saturday.

The 22-year-old was forced off in the 27th minute following a tackle by Lions prop Asenathi Ntlabakanye.
Stormers Director of Rugby John Dobson provided a cautious update on the flyhalf’s condition.
“He’s got a hip pointer," Dobson said. "I don’t know where that is or what it is. You don’t know with hip pointers for a while. It could be two days, it could be a couple of weeks.”
This setback comes shortly after Feinberg-Mngomezulu’s return from a knee injury sustained against the All Blacks earlier this year, which required surgery.
His latest injury could delay his efforts to regain form and consistency following what already has been a disrupted season.
Stormers forwards coach Rito Hlungwani highlighted the importance of the young fly-half to the team.
“In a perfect world, we really want him to string a couple of games together,” Hlungwani said. “Even when injured, he is always around. He always wants to give back to the team in terms of analyzing and contributing with feedback.”
Having made his Springboks debut this year, Feinberg-Mngomezulu quickly has become one of South Africa’s rising rugby stars. His presence on the field is a significant asset for the Stormers, who will be hoping for a swift recovery as they continue their URC campaign.
