Creighton WBB Wins The Beach Bracket Of The Emerald Coast Classic
Creighton wins the Beach Bracket of the Emerald Coast Classic thanks to an outstanding shooting performance led by Morgan Maly and Lauren Jensen.
The Creighton Bluejays women's basketball team defeated Syracuse women's basketball and put on one of the best shooting performances in women's college basketball. They came out firing on all cylinders from the tip from deep, leading to an 86-59 win to become the champions of the Beach Bracket for the Emerald Coast Classic.
Morgan Maly and Lauren Jensen set the tone for the Bluejays, who were a combined 9-9 from the perimeter going into halftime.
Maly went a perfect 6-6 from the three and finished the game with 28 points after only missing three shots throughout the whole game. Jensen also scored 21 points on the night.

Syracuse had a rough time the whole game, shooting a below-average 35 percent from the field and only having one player in double figures, Keira Scott, who had 11 points.
Tulsa is the next opponent on the Creighton women's basketball schedule when the Bluejays travel to Tulsa, OK, for the matchup on Dec. 1.
Syracuse will return home and be in action on Dec. 1 against Yale. They hope to improve their record to 4-4 and bounce back from the loss to the Bluejays.
