On the final Saturday of the 2024 NCAA Division II football season, teams across the country won conference championships and helped their playoff causes before the selection committed sorts out the field. 

One of those teams was No. 1 Valdosta State Football which won the Gulf South Conference and finished off an undefeated regular season.

The Blazers will be among the heavy favorites to win it all in December, and another of those favorites won the GLIAC title in No. 2 Ferris State. The Bulldogs had a tough matchup with Davenport but locked up what is likely the top spot in the country's most difficult region, Super Region III. 

Angelo State Football meanwhile beat rival West Texas A&M to seal the Lone Star Conference. 

Teams will learn their playoff fate on Sunday, Nov. 17 when the NCAA Division II Football Selection Show picks the teams headed to the playoffs.
