The No. 15 team in the world faced the No. 19 squad, as Portugal welcomed USA Rugby to Coimbra for a match that was a part of the Eagles' November internationals tour. They played at 11 a.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 9.

In their last head-to-head match in August 2023, the Eagles and Portugal Rugby went back and forth in the first half. Later in the game, however, Portugal ran away with the lead, tacking on three tries in the last 20 minutes of the match. The final score was 46-20.

After what felt like 15 minutes of an offensive onslaught by Portugal that didn't result in points, the Eagles are able to take possession and clear the ball down the field.

It's not without trying that either team has been unable to score at this point of the second half. 

The USA defense has been working overtime on its end, as Portugal continues trying to capitalize off loose handling by the Eagles.

When Does The 2024-2025 Investec Champions Cup Begin? When Is The Champions Cup Final?

The Investec Champions Cup and the EPCR Challenge Cup begin Dec. 6, and the four-round pool-play action ends Jan. 19, 2025. The Round of 16 starts on April 4, while the quarterfinals are April 11-13. The semifinals are May 2-4.
