NCAA Division III Week 10 Football Rankings: Top Teams Still Reign Supreme

Most things stay the same in the new Division III, but unlike last week a couple teams find themselves out of the top 25.

If consistency is something you crave as a fan of college football, then there is no need to look any further than Division III football with the lack of drastic changes in its rankings.

Here are the main things know based on the results from this past week that are important to note going into the new week.

Little To No Changes In Division III Rankings

  • Top eight teams remain the same - All of the top eight teams from last week gained multiple possession wins over unranked opponents. The only new team to reach the top 10 is the UW-Platteville football team, beating UW-Whitewater to knock them out of the top 25 completely.

  • How did the other ranked games turn out - In a No. 9 versus No. 25 matchup, UW-La Crosse would come out on the winning end against UW-River Falls football, causing them to be the only team left out of the top ten from the previous rankings and to take the biggest drop for this week's rankings. Wartburg and Coe was the third and final ranked game of the weekend where the Knights obtained the win, ultimately knocking the Kohawks down and out.

  • What to look for this weekend - None of the current top 25 teams are set to face any ranked opponents; however, with the upsets across all of the other divisions, do not be surprised if some of that magic wanders its way over into Division III, as some upsets could be well overdue.
