As always, out of all of the divisions covered here on FloFootball, Division II provides the biggest changes among teams in the top 25 that you can expect to see in the playoffs.

Ferris State Football Wins 2024 Anchor Bone Classic

• The Bulldogs bring the trophy back to Big Rapids - Last Saturday was the annual matchup between Grand Valley State football and Ferris State, where quarterback Trinidad Chambliss had a show-stopping performance with three scrambling touchdowns to knock the Lakers off from the No. 1 spot. Northern Michigan is next on the Ferris State football schedule this week. 

Valdosta State Football Is No. 1

• Blazers take over as the best team - The team is coming off a bye week to a pleasant surprise with being crowned the NEWEST No. 1 in Division II after being stuck in the two spots for most of the season. The next opponent on the Valdosta State football schedule is Chowan and will be the first test for them as the No. 1 team.

  Grand Valley State drops to No. 7 - With the loss, GVSU drops six spots after coming into the game as the No. 1 ranked team. Aside from the rankings, the Lakers mainly need to worry about how serious the injury that quarterback Avery Moore suffered is, and if it is serious, how do they plan for the rest of the season?

• Top teams that took wins last week - Pittsburg State, Harding, Western Colorado, and Augustana were victorious in games between them and other ranked top 25 opponents to move up and assist in the change in positioning in this week's rankings. The only game featuring two ranked teams facing off against each other this week is when No. 8 Western Colorado takes on Colorado State-Pueblo.
