With just one week till the highly anticipated showdown between Ferris State and Grand Valley State in the 2024 Anchor Bone Classic, the race for the GLIAC title heats up. 

But before Grand Valley State faces the Bulldogs, the Lakers face a tough matchup in the only other undefeated team in the GLIAC, a hot Saginaw Valley team that is determined to break into the rankings. 

Meanwhile, Ferris State faces a talented Michigan Tech team looking to rebound after a narrow 24-20 loss to Davenport in Week 7. The Huskies had been dominant the previous two weeks prior to that blemish and a statement win against Ferris State could not only put them back atop the conference rankings but could have them breaking the Top 25.

With Ferris State and GVSU looking so dominant as of late, it will be interesting to see if anyone can knock them off atop the conference standings.
