Bryant enters the matchup at 2-4 overall and 0-2 in CAA play, which includes losses to New Hampshire (38-17 on Sept. 21) and UAlbany (24-17 on Oct. 12).
The Bulldogs started their milestone season with a preview of the talent level in the CAA, taking on standout Delaware in a game that didn’t count as one of their official conference games for the year. Official or not, the Blue Hens did not offer Bryant a warm welcome to the CAA, winning 48-17.
Last Saturday against UAlbany, the Bulldogs held their own through three quarters, and the teams entered the final quarter tied at 10-10.
UAlbany scored early in the fourth quarter, while Bryant was slowed by an interception and a failed fourth-down attempt.
Down 24-17 as the clock wound down, Bryant recovered an onside kick and attempted a Hail Mary that was batted down.
All five Week 7 games involving Coastal Athletic Association teams were decided by one score, or within one-score margins in the fourth quarter.

Here are a few takeaways to note from the weekend.#CAAFB | @CAAFootball https://t.co/VV5q3jlP49
Bryant is one of five teams in the 16-team conference currently at 0-2, with Monmouth one step ahead as one of five 1-1 squads in the CAA.
Monmouth is 3-3 overall and coming off a bye week, which followed an Oct. 5 loss to Delaware (42-35). The Hawks’ conference win was a 51-22 rout of Maine on Sept. 14.
The Hawks have scored 256 points this season, with a best of 63 and at least 27 points in every contest. They lead the CAA in total points, points per game (42.7) and touchdowns (36). Bryant is 11th with 22.7 points per contest.
Unfortunately, Monmouth ranks second in touchdowns allowed (29), points allowed (209) and points allowed per game (34.8), settling behind North Carolina A&T in all three categories.
Early in the conference slate, Delaware tops the CAA standings at 3-0, while Rhode Island, Villanova, Richmond and New Hampshire all are 2-0.
