Penn State Wrestling begins their season on Nov. 16 as the Nittany Lions begin a quest for another national championship.

FloWrestling's preseason No. 1-ranked team will begin their season with six wrestlers competing at the 2024 NWCA All-Star Classic - Beau Bartlett (141), Shayne Van Ness (149), Tyler Kasak (157), Levi Haines (174), Carter Starocci (184), and Greg Kerkvliet (285). The Nittany Lions won the NCAA National Championship in the spring of 2024 for the 11th time since 2011 and with another loaded roster, they eye another team title in 2025.

Penn State is returning three NCAA Champions to its lineup this year: four-time NCAA Champion Carter Starocci (184), Levi Haines (174), and Greg Kerkvliet (285). 

Along with the champions, Penn State has four other All-Americans returning to the lineup ranked in the top 20 - Beau Bartlett (No. 3 at 141), Shayne Van Ness (No. 2 at 149), Tyler Kasak (No. 4 at 157), and Mitchell Mesenbrink (No. 1 at 165). The Nittany Lions begin Big Ten competition on Jan. 10 against Michigan State. The wrestling world will have all eyes on State College, PA, when the Hawkeyes and the Nittany Lions face off in a dual meet on Jan. 31. 

From March 8-9, defending Big Ten Tournament champion Penn State will aim for its ninth Big Ten Tournament title under coach Cael Sanderson.
