One of the biggest games in FCS football action in Week 6 takes place on Long Island in New York as the No. 5 Villanova Wildcats travel to upstart Stony Brook for a massive CAA showdown today at 3:30 p.m. ET. 

The Seawolves, which didn’t win a game in 2023, are off a 4-1 start with the only loss being to FBS Marshall. Stony Brook is 1-0 in CAA play but face its biggest test yet against Villanova.

The No. 5 Wildcats are also 4-1 and 1-0 in CAA play having picked up two big wins over Youngstown State and Towson already this season. 

Meanwhile, at the NCAA Division II level, No. 2 Grand Valley State Football opens the GLIAC slate with one of the best teams in the conference, Davenport in Grand Rapids. GVSU (4-1) faces a test from the program that has finished third in the conference the past two seasons in the Panthers, who are off to a 3-1 start.
