How's everyone doing? Are you staying hydrated? We're heading like a freight train into Week 6 and it's getting spicy.

Ferris State and Grand Valley State seemed destined for a massive collision in a few weeks, so there's no better time to get prepared by watching those teams. Elsewhere, William & Mary and Villanova are flying up the FCS charts like opposing pop singles.

Below are five hand-picked games being broadcast on FloFootball, each with a few reasons to watch.

This week, we have lots of ranked teams, a few free games (no excuses), endless rushing yards, and schools named after Presidents and 300-year-old British Monarchs.

Here are the reasons to watch these five games.

Why To Watch Ferris State Vs. Roosevelt

  • Records:
    • No 5 Ferris State 3-1
    • Roosevelt 0-3
  • Day/Time: Saturday, October 5 at 2:00 p.m. ET
  • Stream link
  • All The World's A Stage... For Ferris State's Offense

    • This game has the makings of a blow-out.
    • Certainly no disrespect to Roosevelt, but they may be outmatched.
    • The Lakers have yet to play an opponent as strong as the Bulldogs and are yielding 26 points a game, not terrible, but that includes 24 to D3 program UW-Whitewater.
  • I Mean... Ferris State Scored 84 Points Last Week

    • The Bulldogs rolled American International a week ago, 84-7. They allowed their first touchdown since their week 1 loss to Pittsburg.
    • Ferris is averaging 524 yards of offense per game, and 46.5 points per game.
    • FSU has five runners with multiple touchdowns so far this season.
    • In case y'all didn't know, Trinidad Chambliss is the real deal. The Ferris QB is hitting 68 percent of his passes, to go with 800 yards, 7 TDs and 2 INTs.
  • Anchor-Bone Classic Is This Month

Why To Watch GVSU Vs. Davenport

  • Records:
    • No. 2 Grand Valley State 4-0
    • Davenport 3-1
  • Day/Time: Saturday, October 5 at 12:00 p.m. ET
  • Stream link
  1. Speaking Of Grand Valley State

    • The No. 2-ranked team in the D2 landscape have had less splashy wins than FSU, but remain undefeated.
    • Last week they obliterated then-No. 21-ranked West Florida, who promptly fell out of the top 25.
    • GVSU have five legitimate rushing threats: QB Avery Moore, RB Khalil Eichelberger, RB Kenneth Jones, RB Derrick Woods, and RB David Holloman.
  2. Davenport Only Lost Two Games Last Season.. Guess Who?

    • For all intents and purposes, Davenport had an incredibly successful 2023 season. They only lost two games in total, their last two of the season.
    • Nov. 4 - Davenport 10, Ferris State 28
    • Nov. 11 - Davenport 0, Grand Valley State 38
    • Right or wrong, Davenport missed the D2 playoffs, with GVSU and FSU both moving on. Had the team defeated one of the dominant GLIAC teams, they might've made the cut. Revenge game?
  3. Touchdown DavenpooooOOOORT

  4. This Week's Game Is Free To Watch

Why To Watch Villanova Vs. Stony Brook

  • Records:
    • No. 5 Villanova 4-1
    • Stony Brook 4-1
  • Day/Time: Saturday, October 5 at 3:30 p.m. ET
  • Stream link
  1. Villanova Could Win The FCS Championship

    • Three months from now, we may be looking back at this Villanova season with nostalgia.
    • Nova is a well-rounded team, and seems to have found creative ways to win four of their five games this season.
    • Of course, a win over a stout Stony Brook team will solidify that stance.
  2. Stony Brook Pressures The Quarterback

    • SBU has 14 sacks on the season and 29 tackles for loss.
    • Three Stony Brook D-Lineman have at least two sacks: Taylor Bolesta (3.0), Rushawn Lawrence (2.5) and Rodney Faulk (2.0).
  3. Seawolves Were Robbed

    • Stony Brook probably deserved to be ranked in the Top 25 this week (in either poll)
    • For now, they are No. 25 in our hearts. ❤️
  4. This Game Is Free To Watch

Why To Watch William & Mary Vs. Towson

  • Records:
    • No. 10 William & Mary 4-1
    • Towson 1-3
  • Day/Time: Saturday, October 5 at 6:00 p.m. ET
  • Stream link
  • Darth Yoder

    • After missing most of last season, Bronson Yoder is back!
    • Yoder has 523 yards on 83 attempts, averaging 6.3 yards per carry.
  • Carter Runyon Game Incoming?

    • Tight end Carter Runyon is one of Towon's best players.
    • At 6-foot-6, 235, he's a big target and was the Tigers leading receiver last season. He is so far this season as well.
    • He went off a few games last year. Could this be a Carter Runyon week?
  • We DVR'd Last Week's Game For You

Why to Watch Central Washington Vs. Eastern New Mexico

  • Records:
    • No. 11 Central Washington 3-1
    • Eastern New Mexico 2-2
  • Day/Time: Saturday, October 5 at 8:30 p.m. ET
  • Stream link
  1. Two High-Powered Offenses

    • Central Washington is averaging 418 yards a game on offense, and 29 points per game.
    • ENMU is averaging 466 yards per game on offense, and 33 points per game.
  2. The Greyhounds Are Quintessential Smashmouth Football

    • ENMU are one of six teams with over 1,000 yards rushing so far this season in D2.
    • They are averaging 396 yards a game, totaling 1586 yards and 16 rushing touchdowns.
    • Eastern New Mexico only scored 16 points last week against MSU, in a losing effort, but still managed 300+ rushing yards.
  3. Hello From The Other Side

    • On the other side, CWU have only allowed 274 rushing yards all season.
    • Something's gotta give.
  4. Tanner Volk Is The Boogieman

    • Beware, Volk is still out there, and can change a game single-handedly at any moment.
    • He's a beast.
