Krazer And McGowan To Wrestle At WNO To Decide 130
Aubre Krazer and Taina McGowan, the top ranked wrestlers in the nation at 130 pounds, will wrestle on September 29 to decide who is number one.
Aubre Krazer, a senior at Easton High School, and Taina McGowan, a sophomore at Wyoming Seminary, will wrestle in Johnston, PA this September 29 to decide the number one wrestler in the nation at 130 pounds.
It will be a battle of Eastern Pennsylvania high schoolers, as Krazer attends Easton, located in the Lehigh Valley and one of the most storied public schools in wrestling history, while McGowan is a student at Wyoming Sem, the most successful high school girls program ever, located a little further north in the Wyoming Valley. Both valleys are rich in wrestling talent and tradition.
Krazer, who is making her second consecutive appearance at Who's Number One, is undefeated in her Pennsylvania high school career.
Watch Krazer win a 2024 PIAA title in Hershey, PA:
Krazer is also a three-time Fargo placer, winning a stop sign in the junior division in 2023. Aubre also has some recent international experience, winning a 2024 U20 PanAm gold at 59kg.
McGowan is one of three Wyoming Seminary students at Who's Number One, a testament to that school's commitment to elevating women's wrestling in the country. Jaclyn Bouzakis and Isis France are the other two Blue Knights at the event. Taina is also 2023 Journeymen champ and a 2024 Fargo champ.
Watch McGowan win a stop sign in Fargo last July:
Taina and her brother, Marc-Anthony, will join the Figueroas (Gracie & Richie), the Gomezes (Gabriella & Austin) and the Henckels (Sarah & Will) as being part of a family where both a brother and sister have competed at Who's Number One.
