The CAA volleyball reigning champions, Delaware, start its 2024 season on Aug. 30 against Michigan. 

The Delaware volleyball team went an impressive 15-3 in conference, and earned four CAA All-Conference honors. 

Kirah Johnson, a 2023 CAA All-Conference honoree, is on the preseason All-CAA team along with teammate Savannah Seemans. Gha'naye Whitfield-Moss was named honorable mention. 

Johnson ranked third in the CAA in hitting percentage and blocks per set at 1.03. Her 114 total blocks put her at second among the conference. She had 13 double-digit kill matches, including a career-high tying 14 kills on Sept. 1 with a .407 hitting percentage and nine blocks. 

In Delaware's NCAA Tournament match against Missouri, Seemans recorded seven kills, a.467 hitting percentage, four aces, nine digs and set a program record for most aces in an NCAA Tournament game.

The Blue Hens, are starting the preseason strong and are ranked to finish second in the conference. Delaware's CAA season begins on the road on Sept. 21 against Campbell. 

The Blue Hens will play Towson, a rematch of the 2022 and 2023 CAA Championship games, on Sept. 28 and 29.
