In 2024, the Calder Cup playoffs ended with the Hershey Bears winning a record 13th championship and now that the AHL is about halfway through the season, the Washington Capitals affiliate remain near the top of the league.

The AHL All-Star Skills Competition and All-Star Classic are streaming live on FloHockey and the FloSports app starting Sunday, Feb. 2 and wrap up on Monday night, Feb. 3.

The final day of the regular season is April 20, 2025. There will have been 1,152 regular season games played by then, all streaming on FloHockey. And then the playoffs will start. Here's what to know about the Calder Cup Playoffs. 

When Do The Calder Cup Playoffs Start?

The Calder Cup Playoffs will likely start the Wednesday after the final regular season game between the San Jose Barracuda and the Calgary Wranglers on April 20, 2025. That would be April 23. Playoff schedules can vary, but that timeline is when the first round began in 2023. 

The Calder Cup Finals will be in June 2025.

How Does The AHL Hockey Schedule Work?

Here’s the breakdown of games scheduled by the week: 

• Monday will feature 15 games this season. 
• Tuesday will feature 57 games this season. 
• Wednesday will feature 197 games this season. 
• Thursday will feature 15 games this season.  
• Friday will feature 302 games this season.
• Saturday will feature 392 games this season.  
• Sunday will feature 174 games this season.

When Is The AHL All-Star Classic?

The 2025 AHL All-Star Classic is being hosted by the Coachella Valley Firebirds in Palm Desert, Calif. From Feb. 2 to Feb. 3. The all-star game is on Feb. 3 and will follow the AHL Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Ceremony.
