The Davenport Football team entered the final two weeks of the NCAA Division II season with a 8-0 record and the playoffs in sight. 

Then the end of the season saw the GLIAC schedule hammer of Ferris State and Grand Valley State come down hard on the Panthers, who finished 8-2 and missed the playoffs.

After back-to-back eight-win seasons, Davenport is looking to return to the playoffs for the second time in three seasons this year and also try to beat one of the league's two top programs, GVSU and Ferris State, for the first time during that run.
