Bowie State and Lenoir-Rhyne kick off their 2024 season on Sept. 7 at 1:00 p.m. ET at Leonard and Helen Moretz Stadium in Hickory, NC. The Lenoir-Rhyne Bears hope to continue building from a highly successful 13-win season in 2023, averaging more than 200 yards and 37 points per game. Bowie State was 6-4 in 2023, averaging just over 20 points per game.

The D2Football Poll currently ranks Lenoir-Rhyne 13th while the preseason 2024 AFCA Division II Coaches Poll shows the Bears in 9th. Lenoir-Rhyne finished the 2023 season at the top of the Piedmont division in the South Atlantic Conference with 8 wins. Bowie State ended last season with a 6-4 conference record placing them 3rd in the Northern division of the CIAA.
