Oklahoma State Wrestling Freshman Christian Carroll Enters Transfer Portal
Oklahoma State wrestling freshman Christian Carroll has decided to enter the transfer portal on the heels of qualifying for the Olympic Trials.
Oklahoma State Wrestling true freshman Christian Carroll entered the transfer portal after finishing 3rd at U23 Nationals earlier this week. He is listed as "do not contact." Carroll finished his high school career as the #8 ranked recruit in the class of 2023. Following the conclusion of his true freshman season, he qualified for the Olympic Trials at 97 kg.
While Carroll spent his true freshman year at heavyweight, his recent descent to 92 kg (roughly 203 lbs) suggests that he's planning to compete at 197 lbs next season. In high school, Carroll won titles at Super 32, Fargo, and the U20 World Team Trials.

The transfer portal officially closed on May 15, but Oklahoma State athletes had an extended window to enter the portal after interim head coach Coleman Scott was released following the hiring of Olympic gold medalist David Taylor.
