No. 5 Villanova and CAA Rookie of the Week David Avit head to Stony Brook, NY to take on the surging 5-1 Stony Brook Seawolves in week 6 of the 2024 FCS football season. This game is a must-watch for college football fans, kicking off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, October 5.

Villanova enters this match-up with a 4-1 record, with their lone loss coming at the hands of the Maryland Terrapins on Sept. 21, 38-20. The Wildcats offense will be helped along by David Avit whose recent efforts stood out in Saturday's win over LIU when he carried 24 times for 160 yards and a touchdown. The 160 yards were the most by a Wildcat true freshman since 1977.

In 2023, Stony Brook finished their season with a devastating 0-10 record. In October of 2024, the Seawolves are just one spot out of the Top 25 FCS Coaches Poll rankings, receiving the most votes. So far this season, Stony Brook has held their opponents to just 19 points per game—Villanova has held their opponents to 16.
