Brandon Fussell, Fr., G, Montevallo

Fussell secured his first GSC Player of the Week honor after an outstanding performance last week. He averaged 36 points on 57 percent shooting, along with three assists, two rebounds, and two steals across two games against Valdosta State and West Florida. In the 91-83 victory over West Florida, the rookie tied a Montevallo school record with a stunning 50 points on 16-of-23 shooting (.695), including 6-of-9 from beyond the arc (.667). His 50-point performance stands as the highest in the GSC this season and the second highest in Division II. Fussell also grabbed a share of sixth-best single-game output in GSC history with former Montevallo standout Braxton Bertolette.
