Charleston baseball has started the season with a seven-game winning streak, but they will meet their toughest test yet in a four-game series against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

The Cougars, who have not yet had an away game, defeated Marshall in a four-game series opening series, then dispensed Youngstown State in three games in which they accumulated 29 runs.

Nebraska Cornhuskers baseball, conversely, have spent their first seven games of the season on the road. Beginning the season with the Shriners Children's College Baseball Showdown weekend 1, Nebraska played Baylor, Texas Tech and Oklahoma. Despite stiff competition, Nebraska managed to score 13 runs over three games, defeating Baylor but taking close losses to Texas Tech and Oklahoma. 

Nebraska was tied against Texas Tech for much of the game before the Red Raiders managed a ninth-inning breakout. The Huskers then grabbed three-of-four against Grand Canyon State

Nebraska travels to Patriots Point to meet CofC baseball starting Feb. 29, with subsequent games on March 1, March 2 and March 3.
