Wingate’s Laney Beale has been named the South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the fifteenth week of the 2023-34 season, the Conference announced today.

Beale, a sophomore from Chapel Hill, N.C., piled up 10 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists Saturday afternoon, notching her second triple-double of the season to lead the Bulldogs to an 88-62 victory over Anderson. She is just the second player in all of NCAA Division II to record two triple-doubles on the season. Beale also set her rebounding career high and tied her career high in assists in the win.
