PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Christian Jones, Sr., G, Christian Brothers

Jones averaged 20 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists on 55 percent shooting in two wins last week over Valdosta State and West Florida. Against West Florida, the senior recorded a triple-double, becoming the 11th NCAA Division II player to do so this season and the first GSC men’s basketball student-athlete to accomplish the feat since the 2019-2020. Jones finished the game with 21 points on 8-of-16 shooting, along with 12 assists and 10 rebounds in the 88-74 win.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Brandon Fussell, Fr., G, Montevallo

Fussell earns his fourth GSC Freshman of the Week award this season after a solid outing against Shorter. The freshman scored a game-high 25 points on efficient shooting, hitting 60 percent from the field (9-of-15). Additionally, he contributed four rebounds and four assists in the 76-69 win.
