Ohio State Wrestling Freshman Ryder Rogotzke PINS Penn State's Bernie Truax
After surrendering a massive lead to Penn State All-American Bernie Truax, Ohio State true freshman Ryder Rogotzke pulled off an improbable fall.
In the early going at 184 lbs, it looked like Penn State three-time All-American Bernie Truax was well on his way to bonus points against Ohio State true freshman Ryder Rogotzke. The Nittany Lion used two takedowns and a rideout to earn a 6-1 lead after the first period.
The second period looked to be more of the same as Truax fired off another leg attack. This one resulted in a Rogotake whip-over that ended with a fall.

Ohio State's true freshman started the season firmly in redshirt, but an injury to Buckeye All-American Gavin Hoffman sent Rogotzke into a roster battle with redshirt freshman Seth Shumate. Now, Rogotzke's redshirt has been exhausted, and his victory over Truax has likely cemented his spot in the lineup.
Rogotzke's is unranked and currently holds a 14-5 record. 12 of his victories have come by fall. This weekend's fall over Truax comes on the heels of Rogotzke's tech fall over Michigan's #16 Jayden Bullock last weekend.
The upset at 184 lbs wasn't the only one of the dual. At 133 lbs, Ohio State's #10 Nic Bouzakis took out #5 Aaron Nagao, and at 149 lbs, Penn State's #17 Tyler Kasak knocked off #7 Dylan D'Emilio.
