Maryland

The Maryland Terrapins head into 2024 looking to repeat as Big Ten Conference champions. 

The Terrapins parlayed their league title into a berth for the NCAA Tournament, where they bowed out of the Winston-Salem Regional with a final record of 42-21. 

Pitt

Atlantic Coast Conference representative Pitt heads to the Kleberg Bank Classic aiming to move things in the right direction after a disappointing 24-31 finish a season ago. 

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 

A rough patch late in the season sent Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to a 12-12 record in the Southland Conference and 24-30 overall mark. 

The Islanders will host the 2024 Kleberg Bank Classic and have an opportunity to kick-start a big season with a strong showing. 

Washington 

The Huskies' final Pac-12 Conference season comes with aspirations of winning a conference championship and perhaps going on a run to Omaha. 

Washington reached the NCAA Tournament a season ago and finished 35-20 after dropping NCAA regional matchups to Oral Roberts and Dallas Baptist. 

Players to Watch 

AJ Guerrero, Washington, OF

The top hitter from an all-around standout Washington batting order, AJ Guerrero, returns after hitting .346 with 36 RBIs in 2023. Guerrero continued to swing the bat effectively in the offseason, hitting .298 in 147 at-bats for the Valley Blue Sox of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. 

Guerrero checked in at No. 113 among all 2024 MLB Draft prospects per NCAA.com, but don't be surprised if a standout 2024 campaign sends the Husky outfielder's stock soaring. 

Elijah Lambros, Maryland, OF

After a disappointing freshman season at South Carolina, Elijah Lambros landed at Maryland as a transfer and made an immediate splash. 

Lambros earned All-Big Ten recognition in 2023 after hitting .288 with 14 home runs and 56 RBIs in 222 at-bats. Lambros drove in six runs in nine games for Harwich of the Cape Cod League. 

He returns to Maryland figuring to be the linchpin of a lineup that loses some of its top power hitters from last season's NCAA Tournament team.
