Iowa Wrestling Secures Commitment From Fargo Champ Leo Deluca
Blair Academy’s Leo Deluca, who blitzed through a loaded Fargo 120-pound bracket this summer, announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes on Monday.
Iowa has been working to fortify its future lightweight depth chart in recent months, and the Hawkeyes took a big step toward doing that Monday when they picked up a commitment from one of the top prospects in the Class of 2025.
Blair Academy’s Leo Deluca, a two-time Who’s #1 participant and National Prep chanmpion, announced his pledge to the Hawkeyes on Instagram.
Deluca is ranked second nationally at 120 pounds. He’s the #6 prospect on the 2025 Big Board.
He’s been one of the nation’s most-coveted lightweights since his incredible run this summer in Fargo, where he blitzed through a loaded 120-pound bracket, outscoring his opponents by a combined 72-1 count.
Deluca also took visits to Arizona State, Iowa State, Michigan, Ohio State and Rutgers. He's the first 2025 Big Boarder to commit to the Hawkeyes.
