Tara Cousins, Delaware

Cousins averaged 23.0 points per game on 63.0 percent (17-27) shooting from the floor, leading Delaware to a 2-0 week. The senior guard connected on 60.0 percent (9-15) of her attempts from three-point range while adding 6.5 rebounds per contest. On Wednesday, Cousins tallied a career-high 23 points on 8-of-16 shooting and a season-high nine rebounds as Delaware defeated American on the road, 68-58. On Sunday, she was nearly perfect from the floor, going 9-of-11 to match the career output with a game-high 23 points in a 74-57 win at Duquesne. Cousins has 20 or more points in four of the last five games, including each contest during Delaware’s three-game winning streak.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Taylor Henderson, UNCW
R-Freshman | G | Charlotte, N.C. / Winston-Salem Christian
Henderson contributed 11.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.5 assists per game, helping UNCW to a 1-1 week. On Wednesday, Henderson scored 11 points, adding a season-high eight rebounds with two steals and two assists as UNCW topped Winthrop on the road 66-58 in overtime. Against Iowa State, Henderson reached double figures for the third consecutive contest, recording 12 points despite a setback to the Cyclones. The redshirt freshman guard added five rebounds, three steals and one assist in the effort.
CONFERENCE NOTES:
NOTHING BUT NET: The initial NCAA NET Rankings were released on Monday, Dec. 4, with four CAA teams in the top 150 and eight in the top 200. Stony Brook was the top-ranked team in the conference at No. 59, marking the highest ranking for any CAA team at any point in the season since the NET was started in 2020-21. Delaware followed at No. 125, with Drexel two spots behind at No. 127. Newcomer Campbell rounded out the top four at No. 132.
CAA HOOPS IN THE MID-MAJOR TOP 25: Three CAA teams were recognized in the latest edition of the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 poll. Stony Brook remained at No. 20, and Towson was ranked for the third straight week, rising to No. 22. Additionally, Campbell received votes for the first time this season. Multiple conference teams have been recognized in three consecutive weeks, with at least one CAA ranked in every poll this season.
EARLY SEASON RUNDOWN: About halfway through the non-conference schedule, seven CAA teams have posted a winning record. Stony Brook is leading the way at 6-1, while Charleston (5-1) and Towson (4-1) each have one setback as well. Additionally, Campbell is 5-2 with losses against P5 opponents on the road. Delaware, which has won three straight, follows along with Hofstra and Northeastern (4-3).
TEAM NOTES:
• Campbell dropped a heartbreaker on the road against UCF (42-41) on Sunday. The Camels were outscored 12-2 over the final 3:41, including the game-winning free throws as time expired.
• Shy Tuelle paced Campbell with a team-high 12 points, including the go-ahead score with 19 seconds remaining. It marks her third game in double figures this season.
• Christabel Ezumah recorded a game-high 12 rebounds, adding six points. Ezumah has 10 or more boards in three games this year.
• Charleston defeated Coastal Carolina 84-83 in overtime on Saturday. The Cougars improved to 5-1 for the first time since 2008-09.
• Jenna Annecchiarico paced CofC with a season-high 27 points, adding six rebounds, three steals and two assists. Annecchiarico has reached double figures in four straight games.
• Jada Logan surpassed 20 points for the third time this season, adding 21 in the effort. Additionally, the graduate guard pulled down eight rebounds and tallied one steal.
• Delaware concluded a five-game road trip with a 2-0 week. The Blue Hens defeated American (68-58) on Wednesday before topping Duquesne (74-54) on Sunday.
• Tara Cousins averaged 23.0 points per game on 63.0 percent (17-27) shooting. Cousins set a career-high with 23 points on Wednesday and matched the effort on Sunday. She has 20 or more points in four of the last five games.
• Klarke Sconiers reached double figures in both contests, averaging 13.0 points per game. She added 5.0 rebounds per contest.
• Lehigh sank a free throw with one second left on the clock to defeat Drexel on Tuesday night in Bethlehem, 58-57.
• Brooke Mullin tied a career-high 17 points, including a 3-for-3 night from long range. The graduate forward has reached double figures in back-to-back games for the first time in her career after 17 points in her previous outing.
• Laine McGurk tallied 14 points, marking her fourth straight game in double-digits. The freshman hit a 3-pointer with 1.3 seconds remaining to tie the game at 57-57.
• Elon went 0-2 during the week, falling to Old Dominion (60-29) on the road Tuesday before a setback to Wingate at home (73-54) on Saturday.
• On Saturday, Diamond Monroe notched a new career-high with 10 points. She shot 4-of-9 from the field, adding four rebounds.
• Iycez Adams averaged 10.0 points per game for the week. Adams reached double figures for the second time this season with 13 against Wingate.
• Hampton struggled shooting in Wednesday’s 75-55 setback to East Carolina. The Lady Pirates were limited to a 29.4 percent (15-51) clip from the floor.
• Cheyenne Talbot paced Hampton with 17 points and grabbed a season-high nine rebounds. It marks her second double-digit scoring effort this season.
• Camryn Hill added 14 points, six rebounds and three assists. Hill has at least 10 points in three straight games and four times this season.
• Hofstra fell to Lehigh 68-56 on Sunday. The Pride surrendered the lead at 8:24 in the first quarter and trailed the remainder of the contest.
• Emma Von Essen paced the Pride, matching a career-high with 18 points. She has reached double figures in five straight games and six times this season.
• Additionally, Brooke Anya tallied a team-high eight rebounds, and Tionna Baker led the way with a season-high three steals.
• Monmouth hit a season-high 12 three-pointers en route to a 62-42 win at Rider on Saturday. It snapped a two-game skid for the Hawks.
• Kaci Donovan paced Monmouth with a season-high 23 points. She shot 7-of-14 from three-point range, adding five rebounds and three assists. Donovan has 10 or more points five times this season.
• Taisha Exanor added a career-best 15 points. It marks her second double-figure effort this year. The senior transfer was 7-of-11 from the floor with four rebounds.
• N.C. A&T was outscored 29-13 in the first quarter against No. 22/19 Louisville, and the Cards never looked back, defeating A&T 80-40 on Sunday.
• Maleia Bracone recorded a team-high 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting. Bracone has reached double figures in back-to-back games and five times this season.
• Chaniya Clark contributed six points and matched a team-high four rebounds. Clark added two assists and one steal.
• UNCW went 1-1 in a pair of road contests, defeating Winthrop (66-58) on Wednesday before falling to Iowa State (80-40) on Sunday.
• Evan Miller averaged 22.5 points per game to pace UNCW. She tallied a career-high 26 points in the victory and followed the effort with 19 on Sunday.

• Northeastern was held under 50 points for the second straight game, falling to New Hampshire on the road, 51-41, Wednesday night.
• Derin Erdogan paced Northeastern with 12 points, adding six rebounds and two assists. Erdogan has reached double figures in five games this season.
• Asha Parker reached double figures with 10 points and grabbed a team-best eight rebounds.
• Stony Brook outscored Buffalo 53-28 in the second half on Saturday to earn an 83-52 statement win.
• Zaida Gonzalez paced the Seawolves with a career-high 26 points. Gonzalez was 12-of-19 from the floor with five rebounds and three steals. It marked her first 20-point effort this year.
• Khari Clark added her third double-double this season with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Clark added three blocks and two steals defensively. She leads the CAA in double-doubles.
• Towson outscored Morgan State 45-25 in the first half of Wednesday night’s Charm City Hoops Classic, cruising to an 80-69 win.
• Kylie Kornegay-Lucas contributed a season-high 24 points, shooting 10-of-19 from the floor. She flirted with a triple-double, adding nine rebounds and seven assists.
• Quinzia Fulmore recorded her first double-double this season. Fulmore added 11 points and tallied a season-high 11 rebounds in the victory.
• William & Mary split its game during the week, falling to Old Dominion (72-66) on Thursday before bouncing back with a win over Navy (81-53) on Sunday.
• Bella Nascimento reached double figures in both games, averaging 17.0 points per game. She has 10 or more points in seven games this season, including a season-high 20 on Thursday.
• Kayla Rolph added 11.0 points per contest. She reached double figures in back-to-back games with 10 and 12 points, respectively.
