The William & Mary Tribe will be hosting the Wofford Terriers in their second game of the season on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. ET at Walter J. Zable Stadium at Cary Field.

After an opening-season win against Campbell, 34-24, William & Mary will be facing the Wofford Terriers. This will be the Tribe’s home-opener at Walter J. Zable Stadium at Cary Field. 

Wofford dropped their season opener last Saturday, losing to Pittsburgh, 45-7.

This Saturday marks the third meeting between the teams since 1988, when William & Mary secured a homecoming win with a score of 30-14. 

Their first match-up dates to 1930, with the Tribe beating the Terriers, 19-0. Let's see if time has changed and the Terriers can bring home a win.

What To Know About The William & Mary Tribe

The No. 4 team in Stats Perform’s FCS Top 25 poll heads into week 2 with a win under their belt, after an impressive offensive showing in the first game of the season.

William & Mary gained 452 yards against Campbell, rushing for 270 yards with two rushing touchdowns, while the offensive line allowed no sacks.

The Tribe’s QB, Darius Wilson, passed for 182 yards and two touchdowns while running back Bronson Yoder for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns. Both are expected to contribute against Wofford.

The defense also stepped up, holding Campbell to just 69 yards after halftime. 

What To Know About The Wofford Terriers

Wofford opened the season with a staggering loss to Pittsburgh, with a final score of 45-7. QB Bryce Corriston put together a modest night, going 12-14 with 127 yards and one touchdown, but Wofford’s rushing attack could only muster 42 yards collectively. 

Safety John Michael DiRoberto accumulated 12 tackles, while the defense collected three tackles for loss and one sack.
