It's Iowa vs Ohio At 164 As Alli & Simon Wrestle At WNO
Iowa's Naomi Simon and Ohio's Alexandria Alli will face-off in Wisconsin at 164-pounds at Who's Number One.
Two of the top wrestlers from talent-rich states will collide at Who's Number One at 164-pounds, as Alexandria Alli of Ashley, Ohio will wrestle Naomi Simon of Decorah, Iowa.
Simon, who will be a senior at Decorah High School in the fall, earned her bid to Who's Number One thanks to a superlative tournament at Fargo, where she won the 164 lb Junior bracket that included ranked opponents like Amarisa Manuel, Ella Pagel, Jael Miller and Alexandra Hofrichter.

Simon also dominated in her home state, winning USA Wrestling's Preseason Nationals, which takes place in Des Moines, as well as the Dan Gable Donnybrook and an Iowa state title.
Alli, who recently completed her sophomore season at Wyoming Seminary but will attend Erie Preparatory Academy this fall and compete as a member of the Erie Sports Center International Wrestling Academy, placed highly in a slew of prestigious tournaments over the last 12 months. She was third at the U17 world team trials, runner-up at the High School Showcase, and runner-up at Fargo in the 16U 164-pound bracket. Alli also won a National Prep title in the spring of 2023.

The action gets underway on September 2 on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
