U17 World Teamer Prado vs Fargo Champ Tsarni At Who's Number One

Another classic matchup of 'world teamer vs Fargo champ' is going down at 144-pounds, as May Prado, the USA's 65kg rep at the U17 World Championships, and Nebi Tsarni, the winner of the Fargo Junior 144 lb bracket, are slated to face-off at 2023's Who's Number One.

Georgia native May Prado failed to place at 2022's Super 32 but has been on a tear ever since, wrestling her way to the top of the rankings thanks to her 2023 NHSCA Nationals title and her run through the U17 world team trials bracket.

Prado, who will be a senior at Lassiter High School in the fall, also won a Georgia state title in the spring.

The challenger gunning for Prado's number one ranking is Nebi Tsarni, a two-time Fargo champ. Starni won a stop sign at the 2022 16U Championships as well as a Junior National Championship in 2023. Tsarni, who hails from Montgomery Village, Maryland, and will be a senior at Watkins Mill in the fall, also placed at 2022's Super 32 and earned a Maryland state title in 2023.
