Everest Lydecker burst onto the scene in 2022 by winning a Fargo title, which earned her a match at 2022's Who's Number One. Leydecker has been at the top of the heap of high school girls wrestling ever since.

Aubre Krazer will attempt a similar feat, as she won a Junior National title at Fargo last July, a feat that helped secure herself a bid to this year's Who's Number One.

After defeating Cadence Diduch at last year's Who's Number One (Diduch is back at this year's event at 132 lbs), Leydecker continued her hot streak by winning the 2022 Freakshow and then the U17 world team trials at Women's Nationals at 57kg.

Leydecker also competed in both the boys and girls divisions of the Arizona state high school season. The rising sophomore at Desert Vista High School injured her elbow during the season which kept her from completing the girls' championships tournament where she was favored to win.

Luckily, Leydekcer healed up in time for trials and though she did not make the podium, she was able to represent the United States of America at the U17 World Championships in Istanbul, Turkey.

Watch Leydecker beat Carley Ceshker (who will be at this year's Who's Number One competing at 127 lbs) to make the U17 World team:

Aubre Krazer, a rising junior at Easton High School in eastern Pennsylvania, made her mark this year at Fargo, buzzsawing her way through a loaded 122 lb junior bracket.

Krazer reached the top of the Fargo podium a year after finishing as a runner-up in the 112 lb junior bracket. She also powered through her competition at the Pennsylvania state championships, winning a title at 124 pounds in March of 2023.

Krazer now has her sites set on claiming the number one ranking from Leydecker, who will have her say about the matter as well. We will see who prevails at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside on September 2.
