Juliana Alejandro Signs With Tiffin University
Nationally ranked Juliana Alejandro joins her sister, Jenavi, at Tiffin University.
Tiffin University coach Chandler Minnard should be excited about who he just signed. If past history has its say, then the Dragons will breathe fire on the mat next season.
Jenavi Alejandro was a breakout star as a freshman for Minnard. She started the season at 109 pounds then dropped to 101 for conference and nationals. She reached the National Collegiate Wrestling Championship finals and was the team's lone All-American.
Next season, Tiffin will have another Alejandro in the line-up. Juliana Alejandro, ranked #7 in the country at 100 pounds, recently signed with the program.
Juliana, a senior at Centennial High School in Las Vegas, enters with a lengthy list of credentials, including 2018 Folkstyle National champion, 2021 Folkstyle Nationals finalist, a 2021 third-place finish at Fargo, and state titles in 2022 and 2023.
She completed her senior season 47-0 against boys and girls with a school record 142 wins in three seasons.
"After 2 years visiting colleges all around the nation and with careful consideration, I will be attending Tiffin," Juliana said in an Instagram post. "I understand that I can only succeed through hard work and will take the initiative in my education. Because I want to succeed in this program, I understand that the ultimate responsibility for succeeding is in my control."
She went on to thank friends and coaches who influenced her career in the Instagram post.
