Matt Ramos Pins Spencer Lee, Makes 2023 NCAA Wrestling Championships Finals
Spencer Lee pinned by Purdue All-American Matt Ramos. The Iowa Wrestling star was going for his fourth NCAA Wrestling title.
In one of the biggest upsets in NCAA wrestling history, Purdue's Matt Ramos made the NCAA finals and shocked the world by pinning Spencer Lee.
It was a wild back-and-forth match that saw Ramos get out to an early lead with a takedown and two nearfall in the first period. Lee chose top in the second and picked up four nearfall. Ramos chose neutral and, after getting a takedown, escaped and took Lee down to his back for the fall.
